Week 14 NFL Power Rankings: The Top 16
The playoff race is tightening, and the league’s top teams are battling for every inch of momentum. Here’s how the upper half of the rankings look after another action-packed week.
16. Houston Texans (7-5)
The Texans earned a strong win over the Colts by leaning on their defense and the return of C.J. Stroud. Jonathan Taylor and Daniel Jones were held in check all game long. Houston is trending upward at the perfect time.
15. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-5)
The Buccaneers bounced back with a close win over Arizona behind Baker Mayfield’s steady play. Their defense made key stops late and the run game found just enough space. Tampa Bay remains firmly in the playoff hunt.
14. Dallas Cowboys (6-5-1)
Dallas stunned the Chiefs in a thrilling Thanksgiving showdown. Dak Prescott made big throws when it mattered most, and the defense held on at the end. The Cowboys are playing with confidence again.
13. Jacksonville Jaguars (8-4)
Jacksonville dominated Tennessee from start to finish behind Trevor Lawrence’s sharp passing. Their defense smothered the Titans after the early field goal. The Jaguars look ready for a strong playoff push.
12. Los Angeles Chargers (8-4)
The Chargers rolled past the Raiders with their best rushing performance of the season. Kimani Vidal exploded for a huge day on the ground, taking pressure off Justin Herbert. Los Angeles has found much-needed balance on offense.
11. Detroit Lions (7-5)
Detroit battled Green Bay in an offensive showdown but couldn’t complete the comeback. Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery kept them competitive all afternoon. The Lions remain dangerous, but consistency is still an issue.
10. San Francisco 49ers (9-4)
The 49ers handled the Browns with strong defense and a steady game from Brock Purdy. Christian McCaffrey scored early and helped control the pace. San Francisco continues to look like a complete team.
9. Chicago Bears (9-3)
Chicago went into Philadelphia and dominated with a powerful ground attack. Kyle Monangai and D’Andre Swift both topped 100 yards in a statement win. The Bears are emerging as one of the NFC’s toughest matchups.
8. Indianapolis Colts (8-4)
The Colts dropped their second straight game, struggling against a tough Texans defense. Jonathan Taylor never found rhythm, and Daniel Jones couldn’t generate big plays. Indy needs to regroup quickly to stay near the top.
7. Buffalo Bills (8-4)
Buffalo crushed Pittsburgh thanks to a huge rushing performance from James Cook. The defense forced key turnovers that set the tone early. The Bills are surging at the right time.
6. Seattle Seahawks (9-3)
Seattle shut out Minnesota 26–0 in one of their most dominant performances of the season. The defense forced four interceptions and controlled the entire game. The Seahawks look like a real NFC contender.
5. Green Bay Packers (8-3-1)
Green Bay outlasted Detroit in a high-scoring Thanksgiving battle. Jordan Love threw four touchdown passes, and the passing game looked explosive. The Packers keep climbing the NFC ladder.
4. New England Patriots (11-2)
The Patriots rolled past the Giants with a complete team performance. Drake Maye was sharp, the special teams scored, and the defense controlled the game. New England is playing like a true Super Bowl threat.
3. Philadelphia Eagles (8-4)
Philadelphia fell short against Chicago despite a big day from A.J. Brown. The offense had moments, but turnovers and missed chances held them back. The Eagles remain elite but need to clean things up.
2. Los Angeles Rams (9-3)
The Rams were stunned by Carolina in a late collapse after leading most of the game. Matthew Stafford played well, but costly turnovers shifted the momentum. Los Angeles stays high in the rankings but must avoid letdowns.
1. Denver Broncos (10-2)
Denver survived a wild finish against Washington to extend their winning streak. Bo Nix continued his impressive run, and the defense made timely plays. At 10–2, the Broncos hold the league’s top spot.
With only a few weeks left, every mistake and every big play could decide playoff seeding. Expect even more movement at the top as the pressure continues to rise.
