Week 15 NFL Power Rankings #32-17
The playoff race is heating up, and these teams at the bottom of the rankings are running out of time to fix their seasons. Let's take a look at the bottom half of the league.
32. New York Giants (e)
The Giants were blown out and shut out by the Vikings 31-0, and their offense never found any rhythm. Their defense tried to hang on, but they couldn’t handle Minnesota’s passing attack. New York has been eliminated from the playoffs and is now focused only on evaluating young players.
31. Las Vegas Raiders (e)
The Raiders lost 24-17 to the Broncos, though they fought hard at the end with Kenny Pickett sparking a small comeback. Their defense had no answer for Denver’s rushing and special teams plays. Las Vegas has been eliminated from the playoffs and is looking toward next year.
30. Tennessee Titans (e)
The Titans finally grabbed their second win of the season, beating the Browns 31-29 in a crazy back-and-forth game. Tony Pollard exploded for two long touchdowns and carried the offense. Even with the win, Tennessee is already eliminated from playoff contention.
29. New York Jets (e)
The Jets were crushed 34-10 by the Dolphins and couldn’t stop Miami’s run game at all. Their offense struggled again, and the quarterback rotation didn’t bring any spark. The Jets have been eliminated from the playoffs after another tough week.
28. Arizona Cardinals (e)
Arizona fell 45-17 to the Rams, even though they started strong with an early touchdown. Their defense had no answer for Blake Corum’s breakout performance and gave up big plays all night. The Cardinals have been eliminated from the playoffs and will continue focusing on young talent.
27. Cleveland Browns (e)
Cleveland lost a heartbreaker 31-29 to the Titans despite Shedeur Sanders throwing for over 360 yards. They just couldn’t stop Tennessee’s run game in the key moments. The Browns are eliminated from the playoffs after another disappointing finish.
26. New Orleans Saints (e)
The Saints shocked the Buccaneers 24-20 thanks to rookie Tyler Shough, who ran for two touchdowns and made clutch plays. Their defense stepped up with big interceptions that changed the game. Even with the upset, New Orleans has already been eliminated from the playoff race.
25. Washington Commanders (e)
The Commanders were shut out 31-0 by the Vikings in a rough performance from start to finish. Jayden Daniels returned but got hit hard and re-injured the elbow he previously dislocated, and the team pulled him again. It’s unclear if he’ll play more this season in a lost year. Washington has been eliminated from playoff contention.
24. Atlanta Falcons (e)
The Falcons lost 37-9 to the Seahawks and could never get their offense going besides a few nice runs by Bijan Robinson. Their defense was overwhelmed in the second half by explosive returns and big passing plays. Atlanta has been eliminated from the playoffs with little left to play for.
23. Cincinnati Bengals (e)
The Bengals fell 39-34 in a wild shootout against the Bills, wasting a strong game from Joe Burrow until he threw two costly late interceptions. They showed they can still score, but their defense gave up too many big plays to Josh Allen. Cincinnati has been eliminated from the playoffs after dropping to 4-9.
22. Minnesota Vikings
Minnesota dominated the Commanders 31-0, with J.J. McCarthy throwing three touchdowns and the defense forcing multiple turnovers. It was their most complete win of the season and kept their slim playoff hopes alive. The Vikings are not eliminated, but they need to keep winning.
21. Miami Dolphins
Miami crushed the Jets 34-10 behind Jaylen Wright’s 107 rushing yards and a strong defensive performance. Their four-game win streak has suddenly put them back in the AFC mix. The Dolphins are not eliminated and still fighting for a wild-card spot.
20. Indianapolis Colts
The Colts lost 36-19 to Jacksonville, and the bigger blow was losing Daniel Jones to a torn Achilles after their Cinderella 8-5 start. Their backup quarterback tried to spark the offense, but the team struggled without Jones and couldn’t stop the Jaguars. Indianapolis is not eliminated, but their playoff hopes took a huge hit.
19. Baltimore Ravens
Baltimore fell 27-22 to the Steelers after battling back from a big early deficit. Lamar Jackson made plays with both his arm and legs, but turnovers and missed chances cost them. The Ravens are not eliminated, but sitting at 6-7, their margin for error is shrinking.
18. Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs lost 20-10 to Houston, and Patrick Mahomes threw three interceptions in one of his toughest games of the season. Their offense never found its rhythm, and the crowd even went quiet at Arrowhead. Kansas City is not eliminated, but their playoff hopes are fading.
17. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Buccaneers fell 24-20 in a stunning upset against the Saints and struggled to make key plays late. Baker Mayfield made mistakes, and losing control of the run game hurt them. Tampa Bay is not eliminated, but now at 7-6, they are slipping in the NFC playoff race.
These teams are either already out or clinging to faint hope, and with only 4 weeks left in the 2025 NFL season, Week 16 will decide which ones still matter in the playoff picture.
