The New York Knicks stormed into Toronto and left with a commanding 119-92 victory on Wednesday night. Four straight wins now light up their record as they build serious momentum.
Bridges Burns Bright
Mikal Bridges turned into a scoring machine against his teammate's former team. He poured in 30 points on incredible 80 percent shooting. Picture Bridges cutting to the basket with lightning speed. His defender couldn't keep up. Swish after swish, the ball flew through the net. He added four assists and played lockdown defense for 36 minutes.
OG Anunoby returned to Toronto and showed his old team what they're missing. He dropped 26 points and shot over 61 percent from the floor. His six steals made life miserable for Raptors ball handlers. Anunoby's hands darted into passing lanes like a hawk hunting prey.
Hart Hustles Hard
Josh Hart continued his all-around excellence with 22 points, six assists, and five rebounds. He grabbed loose balls and pushed the pace. Hart makes winning plays that don't always show up on highlight reels.
Jalen Brunson added 13 points and four assists to keep the offense flowing smoothly.
Toronto's Tough Night
The Raptors started strong and led after the first quarter. But everything changed after halftime. Toronto scored just 22 points in the entire second half. Their shots clanked off the rim. The Knicks' defense turned into a brick wall.
Brandon Ingram led Toronto with 27 points despite the loss. Scottie Barnes grabbed 10 rebounds but couldn't find his shooting touch. RJ Barrett struggled badly, hitting only 23 percent of his shots.
The Big Picture
New York improved to 29-18 and sits at number two in the Eastern Conference. Their defense is tightening up at the perfect time. Toronto falls to 29-20 but remains in playoff position at fourth place.
The Knicks dominated the second half with a 37-22 scoring advantage that broke the game wide open.
